How to apply
Applications can be made by either, namely, internet or SMS. Applications submitted by email, fax postal or personal delivery to either NACTE or TCU will not be attended. Applicants with Ordinary Diploma (NTA level 6) or equivalent, FTC and Teachers Diploma will apply through Internet only.
1. Application through Internet for Diploma (NTA level 6) or equivalent, FTC and Teachers Diploma
1.1.1 Holders of Tanzanian certificates applying through the Internet should go through the following steps:
2. Open the NACTE or TCU websites (http://www.nacte.go.tz or http://www.tcu.go.tz)
i) Click CAS on the menu to open the Central Admission System
ii) The Central Admission System will open, the home page containing two links Home and Registration
iii) Click Home and then click ( as From CAS for diploma category) if you are an existing user (already registered) and need to login in your account:
a. Enter your User Name (Which will be your email address. Example: johndoe@example.com) as it was sent to your mail box during registration.
b. Enter Password. The one generate by system and sent to you created during registration.
iv) For a new user, Click on Registration. A window with information about registration will open.
Step One: Registration Details
v) Enter your E-mail address
vi) Enter your valid phone number
vii) Enter your final examination seating Primary school
viii) Enter your final examination seating Secondary school
ix) Enter your Contact address in full. (P.O Box 7109 Dar es salaam, Tanzania.)
x) Select your place of domicile (Region and District)
xi) Enter your first name (As appear on your Certificates)
xii) Enter your second Name (Optional)
xiii) Enter Your Last Name (Sur Name as it appears on your Certificates)
xiv) Enter Next of Kin
xv) Enter/Select Date of birth
xvi) Select Gender ( Male or Female)
xvii) Select Physical Impairment
Payments Details
xviii) Click “click to add NACTE receipt” and you will be provided a text box to enter
receipt number and you can click again to add more text boxes if you have more than
one receipt number.
xix) Click “click to add mobile payment confirmation code” you will be provided with
a text box to enter your mobile payment confirmation code obtained after paying
through M-Pesa (Look like (O52IZ090) Note Zero and Ooo in this confirmation
code). You can click again to add more text boxes if you have paid more than once to
reach the amount required for this purpose.
xx) Click Continue, a message will appear indicating that you have successfully
registered with Central Admission System. Check your email for username and
password, then click sign in, enter the username and password sent to your mail box,
click login.
Step two: Choose prior learning Qualification Detail
xxi) Click your choice for prior learning Qualification (CSEE (O’ level), VETA, GCE and
foreign certificate (O’ level Equivalence))
Step three: Prior Learning Qualification Details
i) Click CSEE (O’ Level) if your form four lever prior joining your
Diploma/Equivalence Education (Enter Index number and Year then click continue).
ii) Click VETA if your VETA lever prior joining your Diploma/Equivalence Education
(Enter VETA center Number, VETA Certificate Number and Upload Scanned copy of
your VETA certificate ( Max 2MB) by clicking browse) the click continue.
iii) Click GCE if your GCE lever prior joining your Diploma/Equivalence Education (Enter Institution Name, Certificate Number and Upload Scanned copy of your GCE certificate by clicking browse) the click continue.
iv) Click Foreign Certificate (O’ Level Equivalent) if you have foreign certificate and reevaluated by NECTA prior joining your Diploma/Equivalence Education (Click to Upload NECTA Equivalency Letter) and Click Continue.
Step Four: Choose Diploma Qualification Details
v) Click NTA Level 6 for Ordinary Diploma graduates or Equivalence already established by NACTE.
vi) Click FTC for Full Technician Certificate graduates.
vii) Click Teachers Diploma for Diploma in Teachers Education Graduates.
viii) Click Others for other Diploma not yet recognized by NACTE.
Step Five: Diploma Qualification Details (NTA Level 6 Category)
ix) Enter NACTE Student Recognition (NSR) ID and click continue, to obtain the NSR ID click the link “Click to request your NACTE Student Recognition ID” and Enter your Institute student registration Number ( eg AR-2012-0000) and click Continue to proceed to Step Six: Program selection.
Step Five: Diploma Qualification Details (Not recognized by NACTE)
x) Enter Award Institution name (As it is appear in your Award Certificate)
xi) Enter Official Award title (As it is appear in your Award Certificate)
xii) Enter Certificate Number (As it is appear in your Award Certificate
xiii) Select Graduation Year
xiv) Choose Duration of the program leads you to the Awards (Two or three Years or more.)
Step Six: Other recognised Diploma Qualification (2 years Duration)
xv) Click form Six and enter you’re A level Index number and graduation year or if you study A’ level outside Tanzania click foreign certificate (A’ level Equivalent) and browse to upload scanned copy of your NECTA equivalence letter and Certificate (Max 2MB). Then click Continue to proceed to step eight.
Step seven: Other recognised Diploma Qualification (Adding seats)
xvi) For Three or more years: Add seat if you did not meet minimum prior learning qualification.
xvii) Enter other O’ level index number and graduation year then click continue to proceed
Step Eight: Other recognised Diploma Qualification (Subject results)
xviii) Enter Course/Subject Name (As it appears on your transcript).
xix) Enter Course/Subject Grade (As it appears on your transcript).
xx) Click adds more subject to add more text box for more entries and repeat xix and xx for all course or subject in your transcript.
xxi) Click Continue button
Step Nine: Upload your Diploma Transcript(s)
xxii) Browse and Upload scanned copy of your certificate and transcript (The upload must be PDF file (Max 2MB).
xxiii) Clicks continue to proceed, a message will appear indicating that you have successfully submitted your diploma results details.
xxiv) Clicks continue to your profile to view your profile or logout to exit.
Step Six/Ten: Program Selection
xxv) To select Institute, On Institution Name (Select Institution) click drop down arrow to get Institution list. Then select the Institute of your choice for the first choice.
xxvi) To select programme, On Program (Select program) click drop down arrow to get the list of programme available for you to selected and select one. (After selection the system will show program capacity and how many applicants already apply on the right hand side of your selection.
xxvii) Repeat the above two steps (xxv and xxvi) for the other selections. You can always go back and change your selection before you save selection.
xxviii) Click save selection to proceed
a. If the number of selected programmes in above is less than the minimum number required the message to notify you add more program will be displayed.
b. During application process you will be receiving different notifications, so please read the notifications carefully before you continue; otherwise you will never complete your registration process.
c. Click Confirm application when finished. a message will appear indicating that you have successfully submitted your program selection details. You will be notified when selection performed.
d. Clicks continue to your profile to view your profile or logout to exit.
You have completed the application process.
Note:
1. Applicants should remember their passwords, as they will be needed when reviewing their applications.
2. An applicant is advised to keep his password known to himself, to avoid malicious people who may try to change the applicant’s information.
Please note: Your password is confidential and personal to yourself.
Applicant profile
Your profile will contains all application information you provided during application steps (Basic detail, Prior learning details, Diploma details and Program selection Details. Also you can be able to change your program selection by click edit selection anytime during the admission open time. For editing selection see xii and xiii.
