POSITION: TECHNICAL RECORDS OFFICER
REPORTS TO: MANAGER TECHNICAL SERVICES
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM
ROLE PURPOSE OF THE STATEMENT
Compile and maintain sound, reliable, efficient and up to date aircraft / component records for reliability and aircraft safety to enhance the company aircraft operations and maintenance scheduling demands to achieve maximum aircraft utilization and output

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSBILITIES
• Receive and collate all maintenance records for discrepancies and
• Report to senior records officer.
• Update information system using collected data for tracking aircraft and component history
• Monitor hard lifted components and report to the senior records officer on those with insufficient remaining life.
• Produce and distribute monthly aircraft and engine status reports to facilitate maintenance planning
• Provide the aircraft and component hours and cycles to senior records officer for vetting and transmission to contracted parties such as owners, lessors and maintenance providers
• File all completed aircraft maintenance documents and regularly transfer the same to technical archives for safe custody in accordance with the TCAA requirements.
• Compile airworthiness directives (AD’s) and service bulletins (SB’s) accomplishments at the direction of the planning engineer
• Any other duty as assigned by supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
• O’ level aggregate C+ with C+ in English, Mathematics, and Physics
• Apprenticeship including recognized engineering tertiary college
• Basic aircraft course
• Technical records courses
• Aircraft familiarization course
• Computer literate
